Sweet pumpkin
Last weekend, we went to Famers Market together in Seattle.

And fortunately we met Japanese famer at YAKIMA to grow & sell his organic crops there.


His pumpkins looked not normal shape and their shape was long & new type of Japanese KABOCHA(Japanese squash).

And he shows his pumpkin's sample and we tried to have it.

It was just baked but so sweet!


And the price of pumpkin was cheaper than normal organic one so we decided to buy it.

David & I love the natural sweetness of organic pumpkin and I tried to make pumpkin soup for DAVID.


After I cut the pumpkin for dice and steamed soft and I cut organic garlic & onions to boil them together in a pan with a little of salt.

The pinch of salt can pull out natural sweetness of organic vegetable easily.

And I added all of them together and put on some organic MISO & white sesame paste for seasoning.

Then just I mixed well together by mixer to make it potage.


David really liked the pumpkin soup & he wanted to buy another organic pumpkin at the same Farmers market next week again.

But we have enough the amount of pumpkin in refrigerator yet and I suggested him to get another one after we finished eating all.


The potage of organic pumpkin was very sweet and mild taste so I will add organic cumin seed or hot pepper powder for another arrangement for this soup at another time.

I wish David will like them, too and I am so happy to watch his happy smile to enjoy my soup.


Organic pumpkin has enough sweetness to cook for any sweets and I used it for cake, cookie without any sweetness.

Original taste of organic vegetables & fruits can satisfy our mind & heart naturally and it was very good for our body, too.

Not to take in so much sweetness (organic agave syrup, maple syrup and honey) needs to keep our body & mind at healthy state & condition.


Most people tend to take in so much sugar of manufactured foods, beverages & sweets every single day.

But SUGAR is toxin to addict to take it again and again without our bodies' need.

So we had better to keep away from any sugar & sweetness as less as possible to live for better way.


Anyway, organic JAPANESE pumpkin was so delicious that I enjoy to cook for another menu again...

Today it became to rain again but I will enjoy my own time by myself anyway...^^
